2.32.010 Created
The board of county commissioners creates the regional street and highway commission of Douglas County. (Ord. 178 §3(A), 1970)

2.32.020 Composition--Representative selection
The commission shall be composed of representatives to be selected as follows: 
    A.  Two members of the board; and 
    B.  One representative of the public who shall be a resident of the largest town in the county. (Ord. 178 §3(B), 1970)

2.32.030 Terms of representatives--Rules and regulations
    A.  The first representatives shall be selected within thirty days after April 6, 1970 and shall serve until December 31st of the next even-numbered year. The representative of any city incorporated after April 6, 1970 shall be selected within thirty days after the first meeting of the governing body of any such incorporated city and shall serve until the next ensuing December 31st of an even numbered year. The successors of the first appointed representatives shall serve for terms of two years and any vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term. 
    B.  The commission shall adopt such rules and regulations as are not in conflict with this chapter and chapter 17.36, chapter 373 of the 1966 Statutes of Nevada or any other law of the state for the organization of the commission and the conduct of its business. (Ord. 178 §3(C), 1970)

2.32.040 Meetings
The commission will meet in January, March, and September and at any other times or places the members of the commission determine are necessary and proper to transact its business. (Ord. 1003, 2002; Ord. 178 §3(D), 1970)

2.32.050 Powers and duties
The commission shall exercise or perform only those powers and duties specifically granted to them and enumerated in NRS chapter 373 and shall exercise or perform the powers and duties in the mode and manner set forth in the aforementioned chapter. (Ord. 178 §3(E), 1970)

2.32.060 Voting procedure
All decisions, acts and resolutions of the commission shall be by majority vote of its membership. A tie vote shall have the effect of no decision and no action shall be taken. (Ord. 178 §3(F), 1970)
