3.36.010 District court filing fee
In addition to any other fee required by law, a fee of $10 shall be paid on the commencement of any civil action or proceeding in the district court for which a filing is required and on the filing of any answer or appearance in any action or proceeding for which a filing fee is required. 3.36.020 Justice court filing fee
In addition to any other fee required by law, a fee of $10 shall be paid on the commencement of any action or proceeding in justice court for which a fee is required and on the filing of any answer or appearance in any action or proceeding for which a fee is required. (Ord. 822, 1998)

3.36.030 Transmittal of collected fees
On or before the fifth day of each month, the fees collected during the preceding month shall be accounted for and paid over to the county treasurer for credit to an account for programs for the prevention and treatment of the abuse of alcohol and drugs in the county general fund. (Ord. 822, 1998)

3.36.040 Use of fees
The money in the account must be used only to support programs for the prevention or treatment of the abuse of alcohol or drugs which may include, without limitation, any program of treatment for the abuse of alcohol or drug established pursuant to NRS 453.580. (Ord. 822, 1998)

3.36.050 Creation of fund
A revenue account and an expenditure account for genetic marker testing, which shall be known as the fund for genetic marker testing, is established in the court clerk department of the general fund. (Ord. 857, 1998)

3.36.060 Deposit of money into fund
The county treasurer shall deposit money that is collected pursuant to NRS 176.0915(2) into the fund for genetic marker testing. All money deposited into the fund must be accounted for separately within the fund. (Ord. 857, 1998)

3.36.070 Use of money in fund
Each month, the county treasurer shall use the money deposited in the fund to pay for the actual amount charged to the county for obtaining samples of blood from defendants pursuant to NRS 176.0913. If money remains in the fund after the county treasurer makes the monthly payments, the county treasurer shall pay the remaining money each month to a forensic laboratory that is designated by the county pursuant to NRS 176.0917 to conduct or oversee genetic marker testing for the county. 3.36.080 Use of money received by forensic laboratory
Any remainder money received by a forensic laboratory shall be used to maintain and purchase equipment and supplies relating to genetic marker testing, including, but not limited to, equipment and supplies required by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for participation in CODIS and to pay for the training and continuing education, including but not limited to, the reasonable travel expenses of employees of the forensic laboratory who conduct or oversee genetic marker testing.
