5.16.010 Chapter purpose
The purpose of this chapter is to establish licenses and fees for tent shows and circuses in Douglas County as authorized and directed by state law. (Ord. 217 §1, 1974)

5.16.020 License--Required
Any person, firm, organization, association, corporation or other legal entity shall acquire and pay for a license through the sheriff before operating any tent show or circus in Douglas County. (Ord. 217 §2, 1974)

5.16.030 License--Fee
The license fee for tent shows and circuses shall be one hundred and fifty dollars per day. Upon written application of any executive officer of any local post or unit of any national organization of ex-servicemen acting in his or her official capacity, the license or licenses shall be issued without charge, not to exceed two weeks in any calendar year, if the local post or unit is to participate in the show or the proceeds thereof. 5.16.040 Penalty
Any violation of the provisions of this chapter constitutes a misdemeanor. (Ord. 217 §4, 1974)
